| 2005 Mission Statement/Goals | What's Up for Adults at First PresbyterianEveryone likes to talk about what they do for the community, and what great children's programs they have. Well, we will, too, but we also think it's important to talk about what we're doing for the adult members and friends of the church. Our ministries are growing. Here's what's evolved over the past few years. Stay tuned for what's coming along in the future. Better yet, come visit us and see for yourself! |

| Music at First Presbyterian |
Are
you musical? Do you sing in the shower? Do you really belt out those hymns
on Sunday mornings? Perhaps you enjoy ringing bells or playing the piano. Whatever you do, or whatever you dream of doing, we have a place for you in the Sanctuary Choir or the Juliana Ringers handbell choir.
Tell Me More About Music. |

| The Gathering 6 p.m. most Wednesdays |
Wow. What a great way to rejuvenate during a busy week. The Gathering is a Wednesday evening worship service that includes tons of singing, prayer, discipleship (you know, classes and interesting discussions), and that traditional Presbyterian fellowship that's so famous all over the world. It's an event for the whole family, too. We have classes and events for all ages and child care for our youngest members. Take a couple of hours out of a busy, hectic week and re-center yourself. You'll be glad you did! |

Bluestone Retreat Fall (usually September) |
Ah,
Bluestone. If you've been there, you understand why visiting for a weekend
is so relaxing, comfortable, renewing. It's like going home again. If you've
never been there, what are you waiting for? Members travel to Bluestone
for a fall weekend of learning, fellowship, and worship. From games to thoughtful
discussions, from fellowship to singing, from worship (outside overlooking
the magnificent Bluestone River, we might add) to laughter, it's a weekend
not to be missed. Young and old alike return year after year. Why not put
it on your "Do Not Miss" list? Information is distributed in late
summer. |

| Relay for Life Spring (usually May) |
In
conjunction with the American Cancer Society's annual Relay for Life, First
Presbyterian Church always organizes a team to participate. With a camper
or tent for a home base at the City Park, and walkers (and partiers!) willing
to brave the changeable spring weather, it's a great mission experience. |

| Men's Ministry Various Times |
Who says men can't bond? Our men can! They gather once a month to hear a speaker and explore what it means to be a man of God. A second group meets monthly for breakfast and fellowship (see, it's not just the women who gather around the table). What they have in common is a desire to be better disciples of Jesus Christ. |
